As long as I talked unceasingly about the Lord,
The Lord stayed away, kept at a distance.
But when I silenced my mouth, sat very still
And fixed my mind at the doorway of the Lord,
I was linked to the music of the Word,
And all my talking came to an end.

The world will die, but I shall not die.
If God dies, then I will die;
If he does not die, then why should I die?

We love variety, the play of pain and pleasure, we are fascinated by contrasts. For this we need the opposites and their apparent separation. We enjoy them for a time and then get tired and crave for the peace and silence of pure being.

There is no such thing as peace of mind. Mind means disturbance; restlessness itself is mind.

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

When I see I am nothing, that is wisdom. When I see I am everything, That is love. And between these two, my life flows.
